The MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard
See your pensions in one place with our free and secure government-backed service.
About the MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard
The MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard will be an online service where you can see your pensions in one place, including your:
- State Pension
- workplace pensions
- personal pensions.
The dashboard will sit on the MoneyHelper website. MoneyHelper is a government-backed service which provides free, impartial money and pensions guidance.
The MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard is not available to everyone yet. We’re currently testing it with selected pension scheme members. Feedback from testing is helping us make the dashboard as clear and helpful as possible before it launches to the public.
Verifying your identity
To use the MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard, you’ll need to prove your identity. You’ll do this with GOV.UK One Login, the government’s identity service provider. This is to protect your personal and pension data.
You may already have a GOV.UK One Login account from using other government services. If you do not, you can set one up. You’ll need photo ID or another way of proving you are who you say you are.
Read the GOV.UK One Login identity verification processOpens in a new window for full details.
What you’ll see on the dashboard
When you log into the dashboard, you’ll see information about the pensions that have been matched to you. This will include your State Pension (as long as you have not yet reached your State Pension Age) and workplace and personal pensions you might have. You won’t see details of any pensions that are already in payment though.
You’ll be able to see information about each pension, such as how much it’s worth now and how much it might be worth when you retire.
You’ll also see an overview showing the total amount all these pensions are worth now and how much in total they might be worth in the future.
We’re in the process of connecting pension providers and schemes to the dashboard. While most are already connected, you might not yet see on the dashboard all the pensions you have.
Support available during testing
During testing, you’ll see on-screen prompts and a self-service form if you need help. We’re also working on adding in telephone and web chat support options.
If you need help with something about one of your pensions, you can contact your pension provider or scheme directly. You’ll be able to see their contact details on the dashboard.
Pensions guidance and advice
The MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard is an independent and impartial service.
This means the dashboard will not give you pensions guidance or advice. However, it will point you to MoneyHelper’s guidance or let you know where to find specialist advice if you need it.
It also means you will not be able to make any changes to your pensions on the dashboard. You will just be able to view your pensions information. If you do need to contact a pension provider or scheme, their details will be shown on the dashboard so you can get in touch with them.
Safety and security
We take data protection very seriously. The MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard and the digital infrastructure supporting it have been built according to the highest standards of cybersecurity.
We’ll ask you to share some personal information when you join our research panel, such as your age, location and any accessibility needs. The information you share with us will be encrypted and access to it will be restricted. Our privacy notices, which we share with you when you sign up, set out this information in full.
When you test the dashboard, you’ll use GOV.UK One Login, the government’s secure identity verification service, to prove your identity. The personal information you provide and the pensions information you see once logged in will not be stored on the dashboard beyond the duration of your visit.
You’ll see scam warnings throughout the dashboard to help you protect your data.
Making the MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard publicly available
We don’t have a date for when the MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard will be made available to the public yet. This will happen when we can be sure the service provides a positive and valuable user experience. The current testing programme is helping us get to that point.
When it’s ready, anyone with a UK pension that hasn’t started paying out can use the dashboard on their computer, tablet or smartphone.
